The Human Resources Development Corporation (HRDCorp) formerly known as Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) was established in 1993 under the legal requirements of the Human Resources Development Act 1992. Food Safety and Quality Division formerly known as Food Quality Control Unit was established in 1974 under Health Ministry of Malaysia. The Food Safety and Quality Programme was established to strengthen the activities of planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the programmes of food safety and quality to protect the public against health hazards and fraud in the storage, preparation, processing, packaging, transportation, sale and consumption of food; and facilitate the trade.
